The City of Cedar Hill broke new ground when the City partnered with Cedar Hill Independent School District to build a 117,000 square foot Government Center to house both the City and CHISD’s administrative offices. The Government Center provides citizens with a one-stop shop to address their issues with the City and CHISD and is the only building to house a municipality and school district in the State of Texas.

    Cedar Hill residents of all ages enjoyed a fun filled day of activities, entertainment, giveaways and more at the 7th annual Cedar Hill Recreation Center anniversary and 2012 Citywide Neighborhood Block Party.

  • 2010 Old Town Holiday on the Hill

    Historic Downtown sparkles when the City of Cedar Hill, Main Street Development and Preservation Board, Parks and Recreation, and downtown area businesses present Old Town Holiday on the Hill, the annual tree-lighting and holiday celebration. Performances, treats and a special appearance by Santa were featured at this event, which is held the first Thursday of every December. Downtown merchants provide holiday activities, specials and treats, and smart shoppers get a head start on holiday gift purchases!

  • 2010 Scare on the Square

    Historic downtown hosts a spooky good time for ghosts and ghouls at the City of Cedar Hill’s annual Scare on the Square event, presented by Cedar Hill Main Street and the Zula B. Wylie Public Library. The frightful fun includes ghost stories, trick-or-treating, games, crafts, children’s activities and much more! Scare on the Square is held annually on the last Saturday in October.

  • 2010 Country Day on the Hill

    Country Day on the Hill is Cedar Hill's hometown State Fair. Military service families are honored, there's a cool parade with lots of shiny cars, exhibits and booths all over historic downtown, a 5K run, an incredible variety and quantity of delicious food. But mostly it's about taking some time to get together as a community, enjoying our neighbors, honoring the history and celebrating the modern city of today where families and businesses can flourish.
